Life begins at ……what?
The old saying goes, life begins at 40, but in truth i wonder when life really begins. We begin our journey at conception. This is where the physical life begins, cells split and form and the body is created, soon comes the limbs and eyes and eventually the mind. When does consciousness begin, when do we become aware? But none of this anwsers my first question. When does life begin?
I believe that life begins when you decide to change, when you begin to look for the better way, when you speak instead of shouting, when you love instead of hating, when you embrace instead of neglect, when you forgive instead of condemn. this may sound all Godly and religious, but it is still true. Too many familys and people die alone never knowing forgiveness or never rebuilding that relationship until it is too late to rebuild anything other than a tower of regrets. Mothers to daughtes, Fathers to sons, friends to friends and the battle goes on and on, and the devil just laughs with glee as we destroy ourselves.
How much does it cost to say a kind word, what the price of a hug, or a warm hand. Even a smile can lift the sun from behind the clouds. Jesus had it right when he said that the greatest gift of all is love.
So there you have it, the answer. Life begins when you learn to Love. Love unconditionally
You are never to old to let life begin, learn to love and learn to live!
